I have been running with Mike for a couple of years now, he has become a friend and continually helps me improve my running technique.
I continually get better and better the more I run with him! He ran the Leicester Half Marathon with me in October 2017 and helped me to improve my ‘personal best’ time by TWELVE minutes. He is great to have by my side.
I’ve been running with Mike since 2016 and he’s helped me to build up my running distances. I entered my first marathon, Leicester, in September 2017 and let Mike know.
He helped me to build a schedule and took me out for a full distance training run with some friends, also doing their first marathons around the same time.
That experience was invaluable in my build up for the marathon. To run my first marathon AND win the 3rd lady prize for my category is testimony to Mike’s help and friendly approach

I’ve been running competitively for over 25 years and decided this year to try my first marathon.
The longest run I’d done previously was a half marathon.
I knew that Mike was organising a 26.2 mile training run with a few friends. I was aware that they’d all done 20 mile runs building up to this run, so was a bit apprehensive about joining.
Mike ensured that we all ran for each other, his emphasis was on the experience for us and he made sure we enjoyed it as much as we could. To take three runners to their first marathon distance training run was a fantastic achievement.
That experience made sure that my first marathon was a fantastic success. Winning the first lady prize for my category finished off an amazing day!
